Kind of a weird thing, has anybody seen a basic snowplow mount set up like a tow bar? I mean where you could use pins through the shackle tabs on a custom bumper. I'm imagining a simple setup that would use a winch to raise and lower the blade, and a fixed angle on the blade.

I did some searching and didn't find anything, so I don't think it exists. Just thought it'd be kinda cool. Obviously would have to be for light-duty use, but I think they would be as strong as one of those receiver hitch models.

We used to sell a product called Snowsport reciever plow, google it and see if this fits your needs.

yeah, I found that... which works fine if you have a front receiver. I'm looking for an alternative for people with front bumpers without a receiver.

Whatever happened to those $700 plows that were around a few years ago. Sams used to carry them but not anymore. Now the ones I look up START at $1400 and go up from there. I was figuring on throwing one on either the TJ or the XJ instead of replacing my blower but now the blower is a more cost effective option at those prices.

I think I'm going to call a fellow bmja member who works on landscaping equipment and let him look over my dads old wheel horse lawn tractor and figure out why it won't run, bad generator/starter I think. That has 36" plow and I used to use it to plow my parents gravel driveway.
