The pistons I'm ordering say they use a .931 piston pin and the rods say .9309

I'm assuming that's way to small of a difference to matter but I'd like to be sure.

Sounds right, the rods have to be heated to get the pins through.

In my experience though you shouldn't have to worry about this kind of stuff. That's what the machine shop's for- and if they get your parts then the labor will probably be a little cheaper.

Its the way is supposed to be for the required press fit. the 4.0 doesn't use a full floating wrist pin.

Thanks,

If it's an honest shop they should have a set labor rate. Even if they jack it up I'm paying their markup or their overpriced labor. I'm hoping to find a shop that's not a POS :D
