Hey all, had some terrible squealing coming from my front end. At first, I thought maybe belt or a pulley. Checked out ok. then went to the hubs and axle shafts, still good. Then I went to the drive line, It had a little movement so I figured I'd just pull it and make sure there isn't something else. Drove my heep around the block and nothing else presented itself. Got back and inspected the driveline. Axle end u-joint was toast, literally! I pulled the cap and the needle bearings were definitly burnt up. Then I checked the others at the t.c. end and found that joint was seized up! I could not turn it by hand.
Does anyone have a suggestion on who to take it to to rebuild? I need a quick turnaround because I have Guard this weekend and am flying to Mexico in the morning on Monday. I need to re-install early Friday before Guard.
Thanks for y'alls feedback.

Its really simple and rebuild your self, I did mine. Just takes a little time if you havent done that before. Let me know if you want the part #'s. If you dont want to do it your self, six states is good. Hell just drive without the driveline, you don't need it. Get to it when you get back. My sister has run around without a front driveline for 6 months now....You'll even get better gas mileage :)

Yah, I was just informed by the boss(Tamara) that I will be without 4wd until after Mexico. LOL
thanks though. I will take it to Six States when we get back! I just don't have the time or tools to do it myself.

I think it cost me about $80 in parts (3 joints $12ea, and the centering ball kit was 40-45). Honestly all you need is a hammer and a few sockets and if you've done Ujoints in an axle, this is cake. But six states or Tom's does good work.

Tom Woods is the man.
He is also someone who deserves our support. He has dumped more money in donated raffle items then about anyone else.
Also he offers a NAXJA discount.

Yeah, Tom is always my first recommendation, but seeing as how XJumpmaster is in Sandy I figured Six States is a lot closer.
