I spend most of my time on cherokeeforum.com & have heard nothing but good about naxja, so here I am! I'm running a '89 XJ sport RE 3" w/ 2" puck & shackle, 31x11.5 ltd swampers, 15x8 procomp series 98 wheels, Qdisco sway, & cut/folded fenders!

We used to do monthly trail rides, but with economic conditions and getting a good turn out we are going to be doing 4 larger runs hosted by the chapter and meet and greets every month that there is not a run. Also whatever runs people want to advertise to everyone else that is not NAXJA based.

Welcome to the chapter first.

It's hard to get everyone out on a monthly basis. There will be 4 "Official" IC Chapter runs this year with hopefully many more "Unofficial" IC Member runs. With the diversity "Hard Core Rock Crawlers" to "Back Country Explores" it seemed we were always leaving someone out for the monthly trail. This way we as members (of any level) can post up our own trail for the month to go on and see who would like to join in. Take a look at this post for more info on what the chapter decided: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1018348

Ya I've been doing my reading on our IC & so far it sounds like u guys are pretty organized! We've been planning some "unofficial" runs on the CF site, so when we set a trip I'll be sure to let yall know! That site is almost identical to this, but 1 thing that's throwing me off is that when we post in the IC section it doesn't show up in the "new post" area! Why is that???

What is a red named member?

If your name is in red, you are a dues-paying member. If it's black, you're considered a "forum user". Green is kind of an inbetween membership.

You asked me in a PM and I didn't give you an answer on Membership. Here it is in a nutshell.

NAXJA is and has always been a Jeep club first and the forum is here to let members keep in contact. As with any other club, members pay dues but unlike other clubs we also accept "forum users" people who do not pay but are welcome on most runs, M&Gs and other events.

I don't have the figures on what it cost to keep NAXJA running but it is a substantial amount. Naxja has advertisers in the form of banner adds however in payment...instead of money they give us items to use as raffle give aways. This allows naxja to fund raise from raffle ticket sales but most of that money either goes to land use causes from the chapter runs or other uses of the money from national runs.

So...Membership dues are the bread and butter that keeps the forum site up, the insurance company paid for liability on our runs and other various causes.

It's up to you to decide if you feel the club is worth supporting. Some people feel it is, others don't and some have been members for a long time and decided to no longer be. That's all fine too. Just keep in mind that the members who do put down their hard earned money deserve to get something back for their investment. Custom avatars, the ability to post in the national classifieds, the ability to post in the Adventure forum and personal signatures are just a few small things that they get back in return.

So... in time if you like the way we do things and feel the "club" is worth being a member by all means join up. If you don't you'll still be accepted around here as an equal on almost every level but the paying members will still have a few extra perks.

Ya I think I'm gonna have to join up as soon as I get a little extra money, plus I gotta sport the logo tee & hoodie! But I've still got a few questions;

1st- Where does the IC span across? & how many aprox. members do we have in IC?

2nd- I've read about the run to the swell in feb., but where are the other 3 official runs gonna be & when?

3rd- (I'm sure the dumbest question one could ask! Lol) How do u pronounce NAXJA???
