We both hate it. but were dealing with it for the time being. the first night we got here, we sat in traffic for 5 hours to go less than 5 miles. by the way, were in DC if you guys didnt know that. Anyways, weve decided were going to give denver a shot this spring and stay here and save up some money in the time being. Makes you realize how much you miss/love a place when you finally leave it. No one here smiles, or takes time to open doors for old ladys, everyones in one big ass RUSH. Its pathetic and its not the kind of place we want to raise our child. I have come to the conclusion, that I will DIE in Colorado.

Couldn't agree more. I've lived in all four (mainland) US timezones and traveled extensively across this great land of ours.
:patriot:
And with that experience, have come to the conclusions that any place farther east than you can see the rocky mountains is not a place for me. I think secretly, deep down inside, east coasters know they live someplace that sucks and are bitter and angry about it.
Keep your head down and good luck on making to back to civilization.

remember folks mess with a big truck and you DIE! no jokeTrains also, but that's a different topic.
My brother lived out East for a few years, but lived in a small town. He liked it, said it was like moving to Mayberry. It's not for everyone, just like dealing with a more condensed population is not for everyone.
Good luck!

Depends on where out east. I lived in NC for 8 years and never thought I would leave (grew up in MI, lived in CA, VA, and FL before that) until I came out to Colorado...It will take a ton of money to get us to leave now.
Plus, you are in Washington, DC...one word POLITICIANS...nuff said :)
