It looks like my front diff is dripping wher the drive shaft goes in. What does it take to fix it??
Can a "C":wierd: shade tree mechanic do it

It is the pinion seal, it is really easy to replace if you have a strong impact or a breaker bar. Remove the driveshaft, remove pinion nut and yoke, take a screw driver and pop the old seal out, and put the new one in. You don't have to worry about messing up the pinion shims or anything else. Get the new seal first so you know what it looks like. Pretty straight forward.

Mark the pinion nut with paint or something so you don't over torque it when you replace it with the impact wrench.
Does anyone know if there is a crush sleeve in there?

Check the yoke for a grove worn into it where the seal rides. If it has one replace the yoke as well. I think the yoke is cheaper than a speedy sleeve in this app.

Not entirely correct...
HP Dana 30s use shims
LP Dana 30s use crush sleeves.
