Question: I use my 88 woody on the trails around Vt . I keep ripping the rear shocks out of the unibody. Anyone out there have a more sturdy fix than re-tapping the holes?
I also run through front-shock upper bushings quite regularly.
the jeep is lifted 6'' with one of Rusty's kits. is it just his shocks?:anon:

ok.. so you keep drilling and retapping the rear upper mounts.. why not drill them out.. cut a piece of plate.. drill holes in it.. weld nuts to it.. slip it in that little space ( you know the one i am talking about on the unibody ) and sandwich the unibody with the plate on the backside and a BPE like the JKS ones on the outside ? ( i did this :D )

sounds like you might want to take it easier on your poor ol XJ.....and get longer shocks...they may be a little short.
