the one we have is too damaged to patch and don't want to get robbed by the stealership just yet. Let me know what you have, appreciate it. The closer to Ventura the better or I can probably pay for shipping.

Morris 4x4 Center - www.morris4x4center.com. You'll spend, including shipping, about half of what the dealership will want.

I get bottles with caps from them for about $25-30, as I recall. It's cheap enough that I can afford to keep a spare on the shelf for "just in case..."

Chris,
I have a brand new bottle and cap still in the wrapper for a 88 4.0.
$20
I'm up in Santa Barbara and could run it down to you in Ventura on my bike after work.
PM me if you would like it.

Robert you are the man! now that the coolant bottle is intact most of the freeze plugs are pissing. oh well, time to replace the rear main while we are down there.

Too bad about the freeze plugs.
If you're changing the rear main seal, go with the later one piece pan gasket, it sure beats gluing the old 4-piece ones together!
