Well, i am fairly sure that there are supposed to be lights for the Heater control unit in my 96 classic. Although i do not know if you can replace them or how to. Can you tell me how to and what kind of bulbs i need? Thanks

You will have to remove the upper half of the steering column bezel, the gauge cluster surround bezel then you can take the screws out of the heater control and pull it out to access the bulbs. I can't remember the size bulb.

I happen to be sitting here with my '96 owner's manual. Your temp. control lighting is two "74" lamps. I agree with the above, if you're going to tear it all apart, put in LEDs. Much much brighter, and they'll last longer than the Jeep.
