what gear ratio do you need for the D30?
I have one with vacuum disconnect, and one without, different ratios.
Just curious, why do you need the vacuum disconnect? The one without can use the larger ujoints.

disconnect is whats on right now, stock gears, dont know exactly, would rather replace it than rebulid it for now till i can afford to upgrade

stock could be 3.07, 3.55, 373, or 4.10
just want to make sure you get an axle you can just bolt in and use.

andrew, we can tell you the stock gear ratio if we have some more information. if you have the 4.0L and an auto trans your ratio is 3.55. if its the 4.0 and manual gears, 3.07s.

i feel the love here:smootch:. and i do too know something about jeeps- the improper use of the skinny pedal makes parts go boom, crunch or snap. but thats about it 'cause much more would over work my single brain cell...:lecture:

Stewie is prolly the best guy to have by your side in this chapter while you're scavengin the local JY's. He knows by heart all those stoopid mundane detalis about XJ's you wish you knew while you're out there.

Andrew, I have a vacuum disconnect D30 with 3.55 gears. It only has 80k miles on it. Includes all steering for $99. You hit me up on AZVJC, I hadn't heard back.

I have a non disconnect with 3.55's and the larger u-joints that would be an upgrade from the vacuum disco for $80
