Saturdays Cast&Blast on the Green River

This is why I missed the run Saturday, we went after browns and coyotes in NE Utah over the weekend but came home completely emptyhanded.

This is the first float trip I've ever done for coyotes, great trip too! We hit the Green River just south of Flaming Gorge in NE Utah, just a few miles south of the WYO border and a few miles west of the CO border on one of the best trout rivers in the nation. We floated a more remote section that was very muddy and cloudy from a recent storm, so the fishing sucked but it was still a lot of fun. We got out of the boat in a few places and did some coyote calling but I think that because it was the second (and last) Saturday of the general beer hunt, everything was a little spooked. I couldn't believe we didn't get any coyotes, but we couldn't get away from hunter no matter where we went. I remembered why I don't hunt on the general beer hunt anymore...

goto to arizona for coyotes i think i seen about 100 and hit 5 on the way back to moab.
