ok so my 97 4.0 Auto XJ's airbag light keeps comin on and off. this started last night so i havent had a chance to check anything yet but i figured i would put it up here to see if i could get any ideas on where to check first so i dont have to spend any more time on this than i have to. could a blown fuse or bad relay cause this? or even better are there any fuses or relays for the airbags? the light doesnt just go on and off real fast it will just come on for about 20 seconds and then go off for about 20 seconds and it just keeps doin over and over and over again. its really annoying so any help with this would be greatly appreciated

the self-docking connectors get corroded on the back of the gauge cluster. this is very common for 97-99's....

AND

this has been covered a bunch. do a search for "airbag light" and you'll find tons of info.

im the second owner of my XJ so i did the search for the recall and it said they move the box from under the driver seat to the center console and i know without lookin that that box isnt there cuz when i put in my flipout screen i had to put the brain for the unit under the drive seat cuz thats the only place i could find for it to easily fit

it sounds like the clock spring is bad. that is the enclosed printed circuit behind the steering wheel, under the steering column bezels
