Fabricating Floor Boards

I am going to fab up my own Floorboards in my new XJ. I searched and found a few threads and decided to try it.

I am going to use 16 gauge to make them.

I am debating on what kind of paint/liner to use. Right now its very cold out and we use salamanders to heat the shop. So I can not use anything that needs to set over night in warm weather.

I was thinking of just priming and painting it with normal black paint until winter is over. Any other ideas?

Will do.

Its kind of a PITA to weld. But this is my first real time welding and my friend says its not the best to learn on.

I didn't have to replace the entire thing. I am only replacing what I have too.

I also found out most of tunnel is really bad. It looks like someone spilt something and all the paint is flaking off.

Now my passenger side is pretty bad, it was soaked in water.

It was so cold and windy last night that the shop would not stay heated. Plus it just wore me out and made me tired lol.

Maybe this sunday I will work on it.
