Blower Motor Selector. Easy one

Been searching and will continue to search.

Its on my brothers 97'. The blower works but I can't seem to select where the air blows out at! The switch works (at least a little) enough to turn it on and off but I can't go from blowing on the face to defrost or to the floor.

When/if I finally get it to move to one, it won't move back to the other. Is there like a Blend Door?

Thanks Guys.

Check your vacuum lines/reservoir.

Does it just blow out the defrost? That is the default when the vacuum isn't correct.

All the Vacuum lines right on that Firewall look pretty good...

As suggested, locate the one-way check valve and make sure it hasn't been put in backwards, preventing the required vacuum from getting the motors it is supposed to act upon.

Should find a small arrow molded on it, if not then suck/blow through it to determine the direction of flow.

Ok, with it being a 97 you may have the infamous blend door issue.

Do a search for blend door, and check out the options.
