Correct serpentine belt length for '00 4.0 w/ AC?

What is the correct serpentine belt length for a 2000 4.0 w/AC in a LHD chassis? Autozone gave me a 95" belt, and I simply could not get it back on. Looking on rockauto.com, I'm seeing belt lengths of 95", 95.125" and 95.625" (95 and 5/8).

It's also possible that the cheapo belt from Autozone is not even the 95" that it's marked. I took their house brand against my better judgment because I was in a hurry and they didn't have the Goodyear in stock.

Anyone know? Also, assuming 95" is the correct length, would the stock tensioner be able to handle the extra 5/8" in length?

Thanks.

Kind of surprised they couldn't get you the right belt. They list only one for a LHD w/AC. 6 rib, 95". Gatorback pn is 4060950. Duralast pn 950K6. Numbers taken directly off the Autozone website, using a 2000 Jeep Cherokee w/AC as the selected vehicle.

The 950K6 is what they gave me. I'm beginning to think that a 95" belt is the right length, but due to their crappy quality control, the belt isn't really 95" long-more like 94.25" or something.

Maybe I'll try again with a 95" Gates or Dayco or Goodyear.

Wake up and smell the Chinese roast--go to NAPA.

Right-like I said, I took it against my better judgment. I've used house brand belts on other people's cars from CarQuest, O'Reilly and even from the indie shop I prefer to use when I'm in the area. Never had any problems in the past. I'm generally not a fan of AZ in general, but I was pressed for time and thought (famous last words), "how bad can it be?" Lesson learned.

Keep in mind there is a good bit of adjustment, and that an inch in circumference on a 8 or 9 foot belt isn't a great deal. I run the Gatorback pn above on mine. I ran a store brand belt (a cheap Gates) of the same length before that.

Go back with your belt and have them pull out more to compare the length. They may vary. Then have them pull out a brand name to compare.
