Alright, my Fiance' drives a 2002 Focus. Recently the controls for the HVAC fan started acting up. The fan will only run in the highest setting. I checked all of the related fuses and everything looks good. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks

Virtually every vehicle uses a resistor pack to set the speeds for the fan on every position other than high. They go bad.

Normally on the air plenum under the passengers side dash.

I had an escort that did that, it was a bad diode on the little resistor pack. If ford's not changed the setup since the scort you can replace the diode for about 5 bucks with one from radioshack.
it was located on the bottom of the air plenum, held in by two screws and had two electrical connectors attached.

Im looking on Autozones website for what I need. Is there another name for a resistor pack??
Would it be the Blower motor Resistor?
