I need the front output yoke from a 1991 or later Jeep NP231 transfer case.
The front drive shaft in my 2004 Dakota has a stupid booted CV joint at one end and the boot went bad. Come to find out, no parts are available for the drive shaft and you have to replace the entire assembly which runs around $400. So, I'm converting the NVG233 front output to an XJ style yoke and shortening an XJ drive shaft to fit. I have the drive shaft and yoke from a 1988 XJ, but they changed the outer diameter of the yoke in 1991, so the yoke doesn't match the seal in my Dodge. That year, they also changed the diameter of the seal opening in the case housing by a whopping 0.009", so I can't just get a seal for an '88XJ and install it in my Dodge.
So, somebody hook me up!
