I might scrape the undercarriage on the speed bumps. But I might be able to do some articulation testing on the curbs. When we going to test it out? I'll be out in FJ with Dave on Black Friday.

john

You are going to love those new kicks... I love mine, they are so sticky and grab on to everything... Looking good man! I got them in 34's Wheel with you soon

Ok- you got me with the shiny tires. I'll fix that this weekend.

Alex- thanks for the support of the tires. I love my KM2's but I was looking for stronger sidewall and taller tire but was worried as to how they were going to hook up. I was worried about being underpowered/undergeared if I went with the 34's. Once I got the motor swap done and 4:1 tcase upgrade done, then I'll be looking to go taller, but for now gonna stay small and drive with skill. $$ will dictate when the upgrades get done, and at the moment it doesn't look like it will be anytime soon.

Sounds like the making of a good party. Just hope it's not a carnage party. Then again, Gasman may just be trying to feed a fire.

Nah, I wouldn't do that to you. Dan is right, that could easily turn bad in a hurry. You might make it but the carnage factor is very high. There's a few other trails for you to conquer first. Let me know if you are coming up this way and we'll hit some of those others.

M-M-M-M! Nice new tires! I've got tire envy!

So how did they perform John ?

OddBallXJ

Dave, you're funny..............

The tires grabbed great. Loved the contact patch. 6lbs is too low. 10lb is too high. Should be able to find something in the middle that should work well. Pulled some obstacles with no trouble that I've struggled with in the past. I'm happy. Should have gone with the 34's??????

What I say John? I told you you will like them! I run them at 8lbs, I get some leakege but that's due to my aluminum wheels, if u have steelies u'll be OK. And if your thinking of of 34's great, but I know I'm def doing 35's. Go big or go home!!

35's + D35 + 2.8 V6 = :nono:

But then again, John is becoming the little cherokee that could!!!!!!!!!

I just dropped a load for the 33's. I'll run these out before going to 34's.

Brian's math is pretty close, that's one of the reasons I didn't go 34's this time.

I'll be running at 8 this next weekend and see how they do. I'll be keeping a close eye on them, and yes, I'm running steelies.

So............... If I don't carry spares and/or don't have tools, you won't wheel with me, or I can't wheel with you?????:rattle:
j/k- I have both. You'd be surprised what kind of repairs I've done on the side of the road over the years. As for courting disaster..... Oh well, it'll be a good excuse to build the 44.

Heres the problem though if you haven't built it yet ya can't afford to which means when you go down hard it'll be awhile before your back up and that down time sucks I know I was down for 3 months with my rig while doing my axles.... When you do the rear you mine as well pick up a 44 front and put 5.13's or deeper then that allows you to wait that much longer on the 4 to 1 case and you can still keep your 2.8 POS... That way you'll be ready for 35's when your done...

Oh and Ill always run with ya even if I have to drag you through the trail:D
