There's Shotgun creek. You'd have to get more info from locals. What I found there wasn't impressive

You can give Noonday Trail a try out in Bohemia. About 30 mins from Cottage Grove. Although that trail does get snow on it and it's not something I would personally do in the snow. The trail starts at about 1,000 ft or so in elevation and runs up to about 5,000 IIRC.
You can go to Shotgun but this is the time of year that it gets real sloppy and unenjoyable.
My recommendation would be to post up on www.oregontrailjamboree.org (http://www.oregontrailjamboree.org) These guys will be able to point you in the right direction and more than likely hook up with you and go wheeling too.

If you were up to haul it, or drive it another 3 hours up the 5 we could meet you at Browns Camp, in the Tillamook forest. Lots of good trails up there. Although this time of year.. there are some snow issues for some trails.

We own property in Cottage Grove & Creswell & plan to move there in the next 5 to 10 years. we have been through Tillamook a few times, always stop in & get some great fresh cheese & ice cream!
This will be our first time towing the jeep with us so it will let us explore more areas than our 37' motorhome can squeeze into.

I like the snow.. but I like the trails too. When the snow gets to high.. the trails are out of reach..
Some of them get easier with all the snow filling in the cracks.
