My XJ has developed a minor electrical 'glitch' over the past few days. When the key is in the 'on' postion or when the engine is running, the following items don't work: wipers, power windows, locks, or mirrors. I initially thought it might be a relay or fuse, but if I turn the engine off and turn the key to the 'accesssories' postion, they all work normally.
I had a similar issue years ago with my 240Z and it turned out to be the ignition key cylinder.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks

Well you just hit the nail on the head. That is your problem. They go bad. Mine did the same thing. You can drive around like that for awhile, making sure it's in the right spot...but one day it will lock up on you. So replace it. Alot of labor, but about a 15-20 part at the local parts store. Or do what I did, I had the dealer replace it for 325.00. I'm a dope, I know. Juice
