Just wating to vent a lil. I ordered adjustable lowers and a couple other things from Rough Country this past Saturday and was told I will recieve them within 3-5 business days.I call today to get an update on there status, the guy told me that he couldn`t find my shipping staus and that he would call me right back. Several hours go buy,so I call back again, this time another guy answered,he told me that there currently out of the control arms I ordered and that it could be anywhere from 5-30 days until they get more in and that I should call back in a week to check the status.
When in the first place, the original person that took my order said nothing about them not being in stock and assured me that they would be here in 3-5 days. Now my Jeep is still sitting here apart waiting for everything I need to finish it,while I continue to drive my 7000lb Diesel truck every day. (gas is about $2.00 a gal, versus almost $3.00 for diesel)
Just pissed off and wanted to vent, anyone else have similar experiences with them??
BTW,the second guy I talked to today did not give me his name, and was exxtremely rude to me.The first guy was great, except that he failed to call me back.
And on another note,if anyone needs gears/install kits, etc. I would highly recommend http://www.completeoffroad.com/ ,I have ordered from them a few times so far and have had the greatest service out of anyone, and the fastest shipping!

3.00 for diesel? You're gas station is ripping you off.. big time.. avg. price for you're state is only 2.30..
And i ordered my lift kit from RC, and they gave me a great deal and arrived before they said it would.. i was happy..

I know how it sucks. Have been told a couple times that something is in stock and will ship tomorrow. A week later after nothing arrives you make a call to find out the part's out of stock and won't be in for a month. But people f up, forget to update inventory on their computers for example , but a call back from THEM to YOU would be nice. Have had shippers f up too much to start taking stuff apart before I have it in my hand, as well. Crap arrives broken or get lost completely. Leave it on until you actually have the part. Good luck. Never dealt with Rough Country personally.

Illinois should have two averages. One for the 'I'm too dumb, not to worship Daley' and the rest of the state.
BTW, won't ever order anything from RC. Their stuff is some of the worst quality stuff out there.

You guys keep bad mouthing them... I love my 3in kit i got from them, and i received it very fast for a GREAT deal.. and their instructions were great thats more then you can say for most company's..
And dont forget, they are a paying sponser of this site.. Atleast give them a little credit. Not everyone needs an expensive RE kit.. If i had to do it all over again i would still get the Rough country 3in lift..

Well...I ordered a trackbar from them a few months ago....it bent like a pretzel the first time out,and I only do light wheeling. And now this....I did originally order my "Kit" from them, but I`m sorry....the last 2 experiences ruined my chances of going back to them.My Jeep was supposed to be on the road a week ago,and at the shop to get the gears/lockers in today, now I`m looking at the end of next week at the earliest just to get it back on the road.
When I was told 2 weeks agothat the parts were in stock and that shipping would be 3-5 days!!! Not 3-4 weeks!

i've never dealt with rough country personally. i deal with gary at TruckXessories out of california. i've bought 2 complete rough country lifts from then (1 for TJ, 1 for XJ), and a bunch of misc items from them. when gary sends me the info for the parts, half the time they arive before the promised dates. on my XJ lift, 1 of the boxes was damaged by UPS and some small parts where missing. i called him up and he had rough rountry ship the new parts and arrive at my house in 3 days. on another occasion i ordered a track bar. he called me back and said that he checked on the order status and rough country had dropped the ball, so he raised hell. 2 days later i had my track bar.
so as far as that goes, i can't complain at all about their product or shipping times. i also wheel the crap out of my rough country suspensions, and can't complain. they ride smooth, and flex like all hell. my leaf springs flex so nicely, that i can actually push my front knuckles into the coils springs and still have my rear tires on the ground. if that's not great flex, then i don't know what is.

I have the 3in kit and it flexes quite well in my oppion.. as opposed to the 4.5 which doesnt seem to flex as well...
heres some quick pics of mine flexxed.

I think it would prolly flex better if i had more rear clearnce.. all in all i love this lift and it only costed me 220 shipped with everything i needed to install it.. My friend has the 4.5rc and that one does not flex well at all imo..

Yeah well....the truth hurts. Im betting he is on here in less then a month with one of two complaints. It will either be A. There service sucks... Or B. It broke!

my wife has a 97TJ that has the 4"X-series lift with upper/lower front/rear adjustable control arms. i also replaced all the tie rod ends, bushings and joints and didn't cheap out on anything. i think it rides better than factory and handles great.
i have a 95XJ with the 3" add-a-leaf lift and lower control arms. it flexes great and rides great, but i got some slight steering issues from the trackbar drop bracket, so i just ordered the rough country adjustable trackbar (same on i installed on my wifes TJ) to correct that problem. it flexes great. with my 3" lift and 31" tires i can flex all the way until the knuckles start touching the coil spring and the tire just starts rubbing inside the fender (i do have my fenders opened up 2" and the flares moved up).
