Hello,

I found some broken discs in my Dana 35C limited slip "locker".
I bought a rebuild kit from eBay.
My question is, how do I rebuild it? is there any guide here? pictures would be great too...
It's 2001 Cherokee XJ.

Thank you,
Saar.

You go to the Junkyard and get a 8.25 axel.

Hi,

Thank you, I will read that soon.
As for the 8.25....
I live in Israel, we do not have those 8.25 in the junk yards and if so, it costs around 700$...

So fixing my dana 35 is the cheapest way to go :-(
(If and when we replace the rear axle here, it is to Dana 44 which is much more common here)

Thank you,
Saar.

Saar, you might want to think about dropping the coin at http://www.techauthority.com and getting a copy of the Factory Service Manual. At least for earlier years, it's got pretty good descriptions of gear & diff work. It's also got just about every bit of info you could want about your XJ.
