so... i was checking the fluids and just looking over the Willys in preperation for the crawl, and noticed my rear driveshaft was loose. took a closer look, and found all the bearings missing from a u joint cap, and the u bolt wasn't even finger tight! so i took the driveshaft out... by hand i might add, and found the ears on the yoke were not as they're supposed to be... :dunno:

...i also heard there's some big trip going on at windrock this weekend; i thought i'd try to make it? but figured having a 4WD jeep would be better than a FWD jeep...

can anybody help me out? ...i'll be able to bolt it all back together, and load it on the trailer. i'll have airtools to assemble/disassemble...

thanks guys!

I've got one Dan. I can bring it this weekend if you want to put it together Friday night. Let me know.

cool cool!

does it use U bolts or straps?
coming from a 44 (i'm assuming) it should have U bolts, which i'd prefer.

so if you could bring it, that'd be cool.
let me know what you want for it too :)

Do you need U-bolt straps or did you find some? I have them and the yoke if you need them.

Tim was able to pick me up a D44 yoke at the pull apart :) before heading up to chattanooga for the night...

mark or ed, if you wanna sell me a yoke, i wouldn't mind having a spare or two... i think i still have slightly bad axle wrap in the rear... so might be good to have the spare handy.

thanks for the quick response Naxja'ers

A D30 yoke also works on the D44. Been there done that. Just have to drill it out and add the straps if want them. You can buy the straps at any parts store.

TheHardStruggler brought me a yoke from the ATL pull a part  in time for the flog!

i was able to wheel all weekend...

until i took on rattlerock, and a bad case of axle-wrap took out my rear driveshaft :)

do you not have a lader bar on it yet?

...no i don't.

But i will before i go wheeling again with the Willys
