Well, I've got 50 days left in office as the MWC President. Where's all of the pardons that I get to read and sign? Clemency anyone? Aren't I supposed to appoint some family members to some high paying gravy job?
It's been a fun ride serving as Pres. for the past two years. It's been alot of work but I feel that we did get some positive things accomplished. First thing that comes to mind is the trail adoption at Redbird SRA in Duger, IN. As part of our agreement with the Indiana DNR the MWC is to hold 2 cleanup days per year. The final one for this year will be held this weekend on 11/14/09, see the the cleanup thread for details. We donated some money to WOHVA, and also to Redbird with the help from NAXJA. We pulled off another successful Pig Gig, and several other "non-official" events as well. It's the great people in the MWC that make this chapter like no other. I hope it stays that way, and.....I think it will.

Several have asked why I'm not running again. I've done my damage now, I'll let someone else clean up the mess! Really though, time is becoming more of a valuable thing to me. I've always got something going on at home or with family. I feel guilty not making many of the get togethers, even though I try like heck to get there. I know it's not required, but I still feel obligated to be there. Another thing is I'm just in a Jeep "lull" right now. We all know the cycle and if you don't, you will....... eventually. I'm in the valley of the cycle right now. My recent trip to JCR kind of lit my fire again but, it's still not a full flame yet.:D

I don't plan on totally disappearing, I'll still be here and attend events when time and money permit. I'm still more than willing to help out with Winterfest stuff too so, keep that in mind.

It looks as if there are going to be nothing but quality candidates on the ballot this time, that's great to see. I wish all candidates the best of luck. I think any of you would serve the MWC well. Vote your mind. Vote early. Vote often.

(wipes tear away)
Thanks for the ride MWC.

Said as only a man of your stature could say it Hale, well done :patriot:

Thanks for your time in office and the things that you have done to help the chapter, it is truely appreciated. There is a lot more done "behind the scenes" then most people realize when it comes to planning events and participating on a board.

I hope to add my name to the list of MWC Presidents in the future...we will see what happens after the votes are tallied.

Good luck to all the candidates!!

I feel like you should get an award or something... I came into this group right after WF 08 and was there for 09. I feel you have done an outstanding job and I think we'd all agree that we'd love to see you at events whenever it is possible for you! I hope that at this upcoming WF and other events I may attend, I can get to know you better. Great guy and an awesome leader! Cheers to Mike and the outstanding job he has done here!!!

P.S. I know you're not looking for compliments, but you're going to get them whether you like it or not :P lol

Thanks Hale! Even though I have never made it to a event or met any of you in person. (hopefully that will change with my new job) I would say Hale did a great job with everything judging by the pics I see from the events. WF10 I hope to meet you all.

Thanks again Hale :patriot:

Okay, so you don't want an 'attaboy'...

Sorry, I held off as long as I could.

Attaboy, Mike!:laugh3:

All kidding aside, ya done a good job. You're just gonna have to sit back and listen to everyone express their gratitude for the work you've done for NAXJA and the way you promote the club. So many kudos to you my friend.

And yes, you're right. the new candidates are all top notch. That's what will make the voting difficult.
