My Jeep runs fine then out the blue it will start acting like it won't take gas. But it will idle fine. It cuts in and out, then it will all of a sudden start running good again. Its been doing it for a long time seems to be getting worse.

Test your way to a solution; don't throw parts at it on a hunch.

The first things to confirm would be tuneup hardware (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter) and testing of fuel pressure. You might have a fuel delivery problem and a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve may help you in isolating that.

Hallo, '92 owner,
There are a lot of things to check.
This is what I did in the last few years with mine '92:

1 Cleaning all electrical connectors (including relays)
2 checking all the sensors. (O2, CPS etc.)
3 Grounds of battery and engine block
4 All ignition items: cap,rotor,cables,plugs,coil.

good luck with the '92.

"Won't take gas" could be starving for gas, check your pressure, 30 w/vacuum to the regulator and 39 w/o vacuum.
