So...

What I need to know are whether or not the stock injectors are either...

1. High impedence
or
2. Low impedence

and...

1. Saturated
or
2. peak and hold

I do not need to know the flow rate, or any of that crap. Just the two factors is all. :)

If there is a difference between years and OBD systems please post them up!

Thanks!
Bryson

The injectors are of the high impedence type, around 16 ohms if I remember right.

Sweet. I'm guessing they are saturated as well then since most high imp are sat type.

Hey where in loveland are you? I have seen a couple white XJ's around here. You've probubly seen me though. I drive a red 99 and deliver pizza part time for domino's. :)

My Jeep is no longer white. It is now blue over silver with a red stripe and a snorkle. I live on the north west side of town.

Google <Marren Fuel Injection> - I seem to recall them having a good deal of fuel injector tech info posted...

High resistance/impedance is usually a "peak and hold" type (as I recall) - which is used in most production vehicles. "Saturated" (low resistance/impedance) type injectors are usually used in the aftermarket - and they require special injector drivers (higher current.)

I may have this backwards tho - Marren should be able to sort you out.

Yeah thats backwards. Although I have seen a low impedence saturated injector, so there are some variances out there.

So think I'll be ok if I assume the 91-99 injectors are saturated/high impednence? If They are high imp, I am 99.9% sure they are saturated. The only thing I'm curious about now is whether or not there is a difference between years.

That site doesn't have anything about resistance or impedance that I saw.

I just measured 3 sets of injectors in my barn. 90, 95, 99 and the 90 and 95 were at 14.3 ohms the 99 was at 11.2 ohms.

All appear to be high impedance. No idea on the saturation issue.

Yeah, if they are are high impedence, then it's definetly a saturated type. I confirmed with a couple different places that they are saturated, but thanks for doing that! :)
