I went as a forum user. No one would give me candy. They all said "come back when you are red".

:roflmao:

I couldn't find the motivation to bother dressing up, so I showed up to the party in my usual (black leather jacket, leather boots). One of the girls goes "what are you, the Terminator?"

... so I went back out to my Jeep and got a pair of sunglasses and was all set.

no you didn't, I call BS.

I hadt my balaclava, gas mask, ballistic vest and helmet on... a bulky sweater, big un-tied boots, some old pants and some boxes around my calves to look like I was a stuffed dummy.
sat on the front yard propped against a tree. the wife n neighbour would ask the kids to fix my helmet for them and I would grab their arms or whatever when they got close... had a ball and scared the bejebus out of a few teens.

9:30 PM rolled around, my girl was on her way over ready to go, and i didn't have any costume yet. SO i searched around and found stuff i could use to be a chef, a redneck, or a hunter. Asked her for her advice, so Hunter it was! I'll load some pics when i get home.

I almost went as an '80s chick (but the dress is really warm, some weird gold metallic animal print patten) but decided to go as something comfortable & easy (oh wait, '80s chicks are easy!!). Settled for wearing my "Cougar Ears" I've worn as my token "costume" at work the last couple years (they're spotted, with beige & gold tufts, and surprisingly comfortable!). I added a matching tail and drew the traditional nose & whiskers on my face and wore all black (a real stretch for me). Worked for me!! Sorry, no pix. Not that organized.

Yeah, well... (blush). But I'm not a full-time cougar. And I'm not terribly predatory.

What's funny is my kids refer to them as my Cougar Ears too, and my 17yo daughter wouldn't wear them when I offered them to her. She muttered something about preschoolers being too immature :wierd: :D.
