Electrical Connection on side of cylinder head

Putting the Jeep back together after replacing the lifters. There is an electrical connection on the side of the head just below the coil rail. I Can't find anything that looks like it should plug into it. Does anyone know what this is and/or what I'm looking for to plug into it? thanks

on my 89, the only electrical wiring on the head is the temp gauge sending unit with 1 wire going into it.

He mentioned coil rail, so I'm thinking late model distributorless.

i am not sure what you are talking about either, on that side the oil dipstick mounts below the coil pack, and there may be a ground wire that mounts there on a threaded nut

is it that?

it goes into the same wire "loom" as the oil pressure sending unit and the cam sensor
