I'v had a strong desire to do some camping on the beach, with an ocean view.

I'm finding conflicting info as to the legality of it. I have seen pics of some who seemed to camp on the Outer Banks with a beach view. But everyone i speak with does not know where it is.

I know that Assateague (sp?) has camping behind the dunes, but thats not what i'm looking for.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

A NAXJA "clambake" type of function on the beach somewhere would be cool too. party1:

there is a beach right next to me that allows it

you can drive on the beach, there is a nice scenic view then there is a camp ground and a pond right next to it.....between the camp ground is the breach way where the pond and ocean connect its pretty nice...theres always campers there...right across the way is also Burlingame state park where you can rent camp spots for I believ 10 bucks which is for 2 vehicles and 8 people...so we'd have to get a lot but itd be worth it...maybe we can get something going like a cook out at the beach ground and a stay at Burlingame...I dunno just throwing it out there

Andrew....what's the name of that beach that allows it so i can google it? Didnt think there would be something in NE legal for fun. :laugh3:

The mention of a NAXJA clambake was just a passing thought...and i think it's already too cold to do this...this year. Perhaps there can be one put together for next year. I'd be up for something like that....i LOVE seafood and Beer.
