New engine, mystery plug?

I put a new engine in my 98 xj and I can't figure out where the plug that comes out of the front of the injector harness on the end of about two feet of wire goes. It has four pins for what its worth.

sounds like O2 sensor

It connects to the coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing.

that's a 2-wire connector but he says he's got a 4-wire connector, also says it's long

Goes down behind the power steering pump, has a bracket that bolts to the side of the lower block above the oil pan and hooks to the O2 sensor plug. Just did my engine swap and had to feed that same wire. Good luck

X3 on the O2 sensor, I was looking at that cable two days ago going "where the heck does that go" while putting the fans back in after changing my tranny cooler lines... it's the upstream O2 sensor for sure.
