Front End Factory Skid Plates

Hi, I have a couple newbie questions about front end factory skid plates. I am considering purchasing one from a guy who is parting out a Jeep.

- How does it effect oil changes? Does it need to be removed to do one?

- Do I need to remove the lower plastic valance below my front bumper?

It only covers the steering.

And no bumper mods are necessary.

No problems it doesn't extend much past the radiator

No the valence snaps to the front of the cross member while the skid bolts to the bottom of the crossmember and the frame
