Which Magnaflow? Why'd you get rid of it? How loud/quiet/rumbly/etc is it? :)

I really liked the sound. WAY smoother than a flowmaster.

Details...

It is an oval body and about 14" long, 2.5" pipe. I was runnng a tail pipe and to be honest, it was too quite. I just added a Header and was diappointed of the sound with the Magna Flow (kind of like a ricer), so I switched to a Flowmaster intsead.

Honestly, thr difference is marginal at best. It was kind of stupid for me to change. The muffler is in awesome condition, and barely used.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Nope, he never hit me up. A local scrap guy came up on the flares and body work.

No worries.

off topic J Money but if you want to louden it up have the muffler shop put a turndown on it before the rear axle, just make sure it doesnt point AT the rear axle lol.

it will double the sound, ive had mine like that for years and love it.

I thought about dumping it, and I still might decide to. I didn't want it to be too loud so I ran the tail pipe out the back. The saw zall may be coming out tonight....

Is this the 3-chamber? If stock is 9x4x18" I would think a 14" case would give you more sound.

Magnaflows do not have chambers. They are a straight thru design that has material surrounding the pipe inside. These do sound nice, and yes a turn down will help. PO, I believe installed a no-name muffler with a turndown, sounds decent.

Actually, that is what the "XL 3 Chamber" series is. Peaple often buy these by mistake and find that they are not loud enough. Magnaflow also refers to these as Turbo mufflers on their website.

Well that is only a specific model, hence "Chamber" in the title of the make. I am pretty sure that he would have specified that, and those XL's are HUGE as well. 14" is not very big.

Here is a picture I just took... The body is 14" and the inlet/outlet is center/offset. It doesn't matter how you mount it since the muffler is straight through design.
