Awesome job Mods! I'm a bit hesitant to start throwing stuff up there because I have a few questions. I usually post my write ups in multiple replys so that I can post enough pictures to describe my methods. I can only post like 13 or 14 picts total in a single post but there are no reply rules in that forum.....soooo, did you all remove the limits on number of pictures in the post? Or is this just a link type forum where we can only hot link already existing threads?

Congrats to the FAQ team. I have read a few and they are perfect, I was glad to see that some of the more "touchy" subjects have been addressed and handled very well.
GREAT JOB ALL.

Ok, WOW! I can't believe I missed that one! Sorry guys. Forget my first post. The real question now, I don't know how to close a thread. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

PM the mod for the forum where you want the thread closed.

There is no posting and no replies allowed in that forum, it is set up to be "read only" ... though one great post did slip in. :)
After the current batch that the FAQ Team did is all completed, there will be a method put in place to submit posts for consideration of inclusion in the FAQ area.
HTH.

Hey Guys,
In the forrum FAQ section...the write up for gauge cluster swap...I think there needs to be a correction.
I don't think you need to replace the oil pressure sending unit or the temp sending unit when you switch from the idiot lights to the full cluster.
At least, I didn't have to when I switch my cluster (2000 XJ) to a full gauge cluster (97 XJ).

nope - you're right and the faq is right...
the early XJ's (read 1996 and older) need new senders... your XJ didnt becuase it was a 97+...
I take it you didnt read the entire FAQ very closely, as it is all there...

the faq is right...
Your post is correct, but JeepFreak21's says "With every swap, from idiot lights to gauges, you will need a new oil pressure sending unit and a coolant temperature sending unit."
Also, there are two nearly-identical Dana 30 topics by CRASH in the FAQ forum. Was that intentional?

true, plus part numbers for the oil sending unit and temp sending unit is listed...it kind of implies that you DO need to change both units when doing a gauge swamp for 97+ XJs...
