Uh...yeah...ummm...you guys get how many mpg from your XJ's? I get 10 from my XJ and 15 from the FSJ on the highway and 13 in the city. DG's 4.0L only gets 12 in the city. The average I've heard for XJ's is 15, so ummmm..yeah...

Something doesn't seem quite right about the ad though TOI. There are plenty of POS FSJ's out there to make trail rigs out of, only a complete moron would tear apart an 80K, old person babied one. Just FYI, a mint condition FSJ with less than 100K miles will bring you $25K easily.

Maybe it was because the ad says that it just needs paint. To me it looks like it needs the body! Also note that it is an 85. This was the change over period from AMC to Chry....so, just like with the XJ, things were a bit weird for the FSJs of that time.

3" body lift, although not uncommon in the FSJ, it is not the brightest of plans. That is a lot of weight to lift that high and hold it with just a few bolts. If the body lift was not done correctly, the radiator and bumpers will also be sitting 3" below the body, and that's about as ugly as a fat, 70 yo woman in a thong and spandex top!

On the other hand, if you can get it for a grand, it would be a great place to start, or to part out. Remember the FSJ has D44's front and rear. ;)

thats what i was thinking, im waiting to hear back from the guy so i can visually check out said FSJ. from what the ad says its not complete but everything is there, so thats not a problem as long as all the parts are there. if the price is right i might consider it a project to DD/wheeler, but if some 2.5L 5spd MJ comes along for under 2k then well im sold :P
