Where does this wire go?

'87 XJ 4.0 AW4. This is a single green wire, is attached directly to the wiring harness right behind it... I'm in the process of hooking things back up after putting my motor back in and can't figure out where this plugs in... please help.

betting it's for an underhood lamp, oil pressure sensor, or temp sensor.
 
hmmm... would you call it a light green or a green? Light green is either part of the A/C system or the #2 injector driver (unlikely). It's definitely NOT your coolant temp sensor (the instrument cluster sensor's wire color code is violet) nor oil pressure sensor (light blue.)

(this is all based off my Haynes manual so it may well be inaccurate)
 
Good chance its one of the connections to the cruise control. I think one of the servo connections is a single ground like that.:eyes:
