Looking at a vehicle for my son...found a good prospect that spent it's life in Vegas...can i expect this vehicle to be free of rust?

My son's Jeep fried the wiring harness and was a New England vehicle (rusting) so a clean donor that he could swap all his mods over to would be a big help.

This Jeep has the options we want and looks clean with just a bit of cosmetics needed.

Appreciate any locals input?..

If the vehicle has truly spent it's life out this way, it 'should' free of rust. I bought my 96 XJ two years ago and it was and still is totally rust free. Rust buckets are pretty scarce out here. Good hunting. :)

Good point....a carfax report should help checking on that story..

It's hard to say. If the vehicle has spent anytime off-road, the salts in the arid soils of the Mojave desert can definately rust the undercarriage of the vehicle. Ask for pics.

Another good point.

The seller happens to be a NAXJA visitor and XJ owner also, so i have more faith in his description than i would a non-Jeeper.
