I have a rear tag on the chrysler 8.25 axle it simply says 1408 what does that mean ?

AX4? Sure you don't mean AW-4, the auomatic tranny that came behind the 4.0L? Don't know what the tag means, but you've got 3.55 gears if it's the auto tranny...

yeah . thats the one .. ihad an issue with my brain LOL ... heard someplace that if it has a trailer kit it might have 373's ... any truth to those rumors ? mine has the factory trailring package

Nope - that's only a rumor if you've got the manual tranny
