all h.o.'s have the regulator function built into the pcm. only the renix years have an internally regulated alternator(unless you include the 2.8's, but who cares about those...).

Powertrain control module, the main computer (they change the name periodically).

The block on the passenger side is the PDC- Power Distribution Center, I believe- fuse and relay block. The PCM is next to the airbox on the driver's side.
