Just a question as to what injector I should use as an upgrade I have a 97 4.0 engine upgrade are cold air intake accel coil and wires and exhaust.

What car or truck should I pull them out of at the jy

You can get some improvement in throttle response and fuel economy as well as lower operating temps by using injectors from a 89-93 ford with the 5.0 engine. You want the orange injectors rated at 19 lbs/hr. They are a direct bolt in.

I just picked up some 95-96 Neon 2.4L 238cc injectors, 0280155703. They're the EV6 4 hole injectors with clip nut. The stock siemens for 96 and up flow 234cc. I'm hoping for increased fuel economy and better throttle response. I'll post up whenever I get around to trying them out.

These are an upgrade for Renix era 4.0s, since they flow about the same rate/39psi and have a better spray pattern.
I do not see 19lb ford injectors as being a good upgrade for his jeep which uses 23.2lb 49psi injectors stock.

I missed that, thanks for pointing that out. Ford has 24 lb injectors in some cars. I think they might be yellow or green in color.

Well what should I use for a 97 xj

Cmon man give em a try before I do. :D

95-96 Neon 2.4L 238cc injectors, 0280155703. Also found in Grand Caravans, Stratus, and Plymouth Breeze. They're the EV6 4 hole injectors with clip nut and contain much newer technology compared to the stock siemens injectors. The stock siemens injectors for 96 and up flow 234cc.

An injector that will flow 24#@49psi and has 4+ holes would be an upgrade. Interesting enough, the obd1 brown/tan injectors rated at 21# on the 39psi rail will flow 23.5# in the obd2 49 psi rail, so I can see why someone would put them on a 96+. In all honesty, your pcm will adjust the injectors to your minor mods. You should get a scanner and look at your fuel trims while someone else is driving. If they are above +10%(pcm is adding fuel to compensate for mods) then I would consider a bigger injector. If the trims are less than 10% or even in the negatives(pulling out fuel), then you don't need bigger injectors. However the fuel atomization could still benefit from the additional holes.

I've been running these injectors for about two weeks, so far they're fabulous.

Throttle response is a little better, idle smoothness has drastically improved, and it seems to start up quicker than before.
