They're offering a free report - not sure how long it will last.

Sure, carfax sux, is inacurate, is not reliable, blah-blah-blah.

But it's better than nothing.........sometimes.

I gotta try this when I get home. Hoping to sell my 2008 altima soon so it would be good to have this! Thanks!

Erm.. unless I find out the previous owner did something to the car... then this report will be immediately burned, haha! (I bought my car with just shy of 10,000 miles). I already got one of these for my Jeep and it told me a whole lot of nothing. Apparently my Jeep was purchased, then sold, then purchased and sold a few times, before being sold to a final purchaser... who'da thunk it.

If you can login to your insurance company website, you can probably find your VIN there.

My Mazda has been dealer serviced, so every service shows up on the CARFAX. Not sure if that's standard with car dealers.

No frame in the Mazda either.

Well, the invisible force field that holds my headlights in place is still straight - per factory specs :D

Well, as long as your shield generator is undamaged, you ought to be safe...

Yeah, I think the tractor beams went haywire and caused the accident :eyes:

Pulled them right into the car?

Ran a Carfax on our minivan. We are the 3rd owners, first owner had it for 4 yrs, second for only 4 months. It came from IL which explains the little rust spots on the roof where some paint got chipped.

My 99 XJ was first titled on 11/11/2008 as a lease. The person that leased it purchased it from the lease company and kept it for 9 years.

Second owner had it for 1 year, 3 months. Had a front end collision, but Carfax is clear.

Third owner, me. Had it it since April of this year.

Thanks for the link. :-)

First owner of my 97 --- 7/15/97 until 5/11/05 (7 years 9 months)
Second owner --- 5/16/05 until 11/03/08 (3 years 5 months)
**and on 9/26/05 accident reported involving left rear impact with another vehicle.
Third owner --- 11/28/08 until 1/30/09 (2 months)
Fourth owner (ME) --- 1/30/09 til present (7 months)

Thanks for the hook-up on the free report! Good thing I checked it out because what I thought was rust forming under the gas lid must be the damage that wasn't properly repaired.

Wow, read the fine print. All of the payment/subscription plans, including the default "unlimited reports" plan (the most expensive one) expire after 30 days! What a crock!!!

This 30 day Unlimited CARFAX Reports Plan is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, and is intended for my personal use only.
