HP30 w/o ABS

I picked up a hp30 from a 99XJ at a junk yard. It only had 71000 miles on it. I completely disassembled and cleaned it up to get ready for 488s and an OXlocker to put in my ZJ. The shafts have the 297 joints but the axle didn't have ABS. I guess I thought everything after the early 90s had ABS. Was it optional then or didn't I get a 99 axle? It's a very reputable yard. I don't care about the ABS, cause I have the 8.8 in the rear w/o it as well.

The amount of Jeeps that came with ABS is pretty small to the amount that came without ABS. My '99 doesn't have ABS, and most I've personally seen don't have ABS.

ABS is not wanted off road.

OK, that sounds good. I think I will upgrade to the 5-760 joints and they will make good spares.

No ABS in my 96 XJ, 2000 FOcus, and I'm not sure about our 2003 Caravan. The 85 Nissan truck defintiely doesn't have it... However, my 94 Tracker had rear ABS only.
