HP or LP D 30

Noob question how do I determine if I have a HP or Lp D 30 front axle?

Or should anyway. Does the driveshaft enter on the top half of the housing? I think I saw your Jeep parked on Fremont the other day.

if you have an 84-'99, your Jeep came factory with a HP D30. If you have a '00-'01, your Jeep came factory with a LP D30.

If the pinion yoke is above the centerline of the axle, then you have an HP, if it is below, then you have an LP. Compare it to your rear axle, which is an LP, no matter what you have. [size=-3](No matter what you have as long as it came stock)[/size]

I cant remember if I was on fremont or not recently. My spare is ontop of my jeep still and I now have a red D 30 riddler diff cover too.

Ok, It was near the corner of reserve/stanley.

ok I live in the sandhill apartments just off of stanley (by the quick trip) and I go through that intersection a lot probly 2-3 a day if not more.
