When you're off the beaten path, how much rattle does your rig do?
Went down a washboard road last weekend (fishing) and my teeth are now loose in my skull. Know i need to replace a couple things the PO let get to a unusable condition which will help, but the interior parts were rattling pretty bad as well.
So, how much do you have?

Last year for the naxja eagle rock run. Guys had to unload their rigs from trailors cuz it was so bad in their tow rigs. The washboard roads out here almost unbearable sometimes

I have a 89 XJ also and the guy that i bought it from Rhino lined everything. When we came down from doing Jenny Creek my XJ rocked me and my daughter so bad we felt like we got whiplash. And also really freakin loud. (very annoying)
To Bluejeepkid i just purchased a headliner from a gentleman that I know for $5.00 and is in good condition. I have his number if you want to get another one. This guy carries alot of XJ jeeps that he is parting out.

mine rattles pretty bad, i just crank up the radio to drown it out. also, the faster you go on washboard roads, the smoother they feel. i have broken the TRE on my tracbar that way.

Pink,
do a write up on the replacement. Mine is in good condition, but dirty as all get out. not sure what the PO did but looks like something exploded in the back

Pretty easy. DrOp your Visors and lights and leave em hangin. Remove oh crap handles and trim around headliner. Lift and pull in one side then the other. Pul it out the back.
But get some material. Use the 3M spray adhesive((not too much) and do your own headliner

Pretty much all my interior peices rattle. Something is with my hatch or something back there that just annoys the crap outta me every day.
Although last time i was up in rampart i aired my tires down and didn't rattle far as bad.

my stereo rattles, I don't think it was properly installed. The center console cover rattles, and the passenger door panel squeaks like crazy, it drives me nuts. Sometimes I'll tell my wife to push on the door with her arm just to get a break from it :)
I have a few things rattling under the jeep, I need to get under there and check it out.

got a bronco II tire carrier, fab'd to fit. it rattles constantly, no matter what terrain im on. thats 1 of about 50 rattles when i was on that dirt road.
sounded as if my whole dash was going to come flying off! found out that the new tires i had put on, when i specifically asked for 30 psi, they put in 48. (i know, should have checked myself) dropped it to 32, but havent been on the road since.

Haha, rattles...
Uh, my dash, the rear seatbelts, the plastic crap that's still on there, the driver's door, the rear hatch, the brake, gas, and clutch pedals, the hood, the exhaust, the straps holding the exhaust, and pretty much everything else.
Just crank the radio.

I have a rattle in the dash and in the headliner near the back. Odd thing is the rattle in the headliner really only makes noise when the air conditioning is running.

Geez, I feel fortunate after reading some of these posts! :D
My glove box rattles sometimes, as does the rear bench seat. My stereo does too, but that's because the mounting bracket is busted and I've been too lazy to replace it (for the third time).
That's it on the inside. I've got something seriously out of whack in my front end that causes all kinds of noise. I'll be trying to figure that out this weekend...
