I should be starting my 3/4 sleeve here in next few weeks and was curious if there was any others on the board that were fans of inked up skin. Not tryin to get any preachers against it. Just post up if you like it and maybe toss up a pic or two of some work you have :)

I got my fist one 23 years ago.So far I've done both shoulders/upper arms (soon to be half-sleeves) and a couple on my lower right leg. After the half-sleeves are done I'll be starting the work on my back.

My boss told me a good one. There was a iron worker he worked with that had a full jacket. Guy did it when he was young. Well the guy got promoted to one of the big wigs. But he told me every time they had big meetings with clients he had to wear a full sleeve shirt even in the middle of summer to cover his tats. Just remember you do not know where life is going to take you. I worked with this guy when I was 19 and he had this amazing tat on his forearm of this beautiful woman. I wanted to get one pretty bad. I commented on how much I liked his tat. He was 40 and told me that it was huge mistake and wish he could afford to get it removed. He is reason I never got one.
Anyway so what are you getting a dragon? Or maybe some flowers would be more fitting? :D

Ha ha smart ass... Ya that's why I'm only doind 3/4 sleeve so if my long sleeves do slide up it still won't be visible. It's gonna be a freehand of everything that has been big part of my life to this point. And I'll do my other arm with same idea but when I'm like 40. So I can show/remember the different parts of my life

I'd like to get one. Just something small though, I wouldn't want anything big. Currently thinking about a compass rose on my back...it's just hard to pull the trigger on something that'll be there for the rest of my life. My piercings will go away if I take them out, tats won't :)
My wife wants a 3/4 sleeve. While I'm not a fan of it, it's up to her.

Normally I would say getting your name tattoed on your back is pretty rediculous, but I must say, if my last name was Benedict, I would be all over that.

Cost of a tat is like cost of a lift. Cheaper one might get you same effect up front but Down the road the differences emerge. I like my artist. Cool kid and does good work.
Edit: Keifer. Not saying getting a good deal meant you got bad work. That was just general statement. Thought what I posted sounded bad.

Here in springs there are a few food artists. West side has a few but unfortunately care more about money. My buddy Josh "Highlife" is at r u tattooed. Good clean shop with some good artists. Prices are average but he takes care of me:)

But that would take tons of time..... I kinda like shading that goes light to dark from top to bottom or this "chrome" look:

Or this is cool - something that gives it dimension:

Very nice! How did that one feel? I was going to get one right above my belly button (before my 6 pack turned into one of those refrigerator kegs). I have heard the side and stomach area are very sensitive.

Stomach was cake. Right below belly button on spot bout inch wide It sucked. And ribs were terrible. I hated myself for two days after. I could feel my bones vibrating lol. But my favorite ink so far. Well worth it

I opened this thread to check on what was being said against my better judgment. Oh my I thought I clicked on a gay porn site for a minute. Then realized it was just a bunch of man love for each others tats. I think will be staying out of this thread I already lost most of my lunch. :puke:

My wife and I have decided we're going to each get one in October. Now the only trouble is finding somewhere decent to get them done. Both of ours would be really easy for someone to screw up.

In Longmont, try Tribal Rites on Main (around 17th, by the Albertsons) I've had a few recommendations for them and met the owner, she had her daughter in my daughters dance class, very cool gal. Like for any shop/artist, do your research, look at their portfolio, get a consultation with them and check out their shop (is it clean, organized, do they use needles new out of a factory sealed pack, or do they use an autoclave to sanitize, ect.), ask lots of questions, ask the artist to show you examples of work that he/she has done that would give you an idea if they can competently do the work you are looking at having done, and don't be afraid to ask for another artist or go to another shop if you don't feel comfortable with them. Remember it's your body and it will be on you for the rest of your life, get it done right the first time because there is no second time, tattoo guns don't have an eraser. O.K. lecture over.:lecture:

As someone has been sporting some tats for over 50 years they will end up just ink smears and when you do get them and later in life are going in for a interview for the dream job you have always wanted
look at your self in the mirrow and ask your self if you would hire you
