Ok this totally belongs in OEM but I need a faster answer. What is the width of the tubes on an XJ 44. I need to buy ubolts and I'm going to get some generic ones from advanced autoparts or something like that.

Can anyone reaffirm this? Is that the same size as the 35?
 
That's pretty darn close to what I just measured it as. I do not have a D35.
 
I wouldn't buy the bolts without measuring. I have personally seen three different tube diameters on D35's. I run a D44 and it is bigger than the D35 I had before.
 
I've heard that they are 2.75, but you should probably check. I know that D44s come with both 2.75" and 3" tubes, and they may have made them with other tubes sizes as well.
 
the 3" D44HD wasn't available in the XJ

XJ's/MJ's have the 2.75" tubes.
 
Ok I'm going to buy 2.75" if its wrong I will just jump off a bridge or something. Don't worry.
