Brush Guard help

I have a 1996 cherokee I have a brush guard off a 1999 cherokee
the hardware wont fit the brackets are different sooo any one know a good way to modify or where I can get some brackets was hoping someone had same problem once

Should be the same brackets if the "1999 cherokee" was an XJ and not a ZJ (Grand Cherokee). Post pics, may help with the advise.

1999 is xj 1996 is xj the bumper on 1999 is thinner metal and not as high as 1996 I thought they would be the same too but they are not

I wouldn't mind having that 99 brush guard since I have a 99....

Made new brackets took 3 hours of welding bending and sweat but it looks good now

Did you mount it to something solid, or just to the bumper again?
