Hey guys, I know most of you probably don't need this, but there are a few YJ/CJ owners on here. This 4.2 came out of the 89 YJ that I built the stroker motor for. This thing is in great shape, super quiet, no knocking or anything like that; it runs great. He just wanted more power and a cleaner looking engine bay. It has 130K miles on it, but like I said, its in great shape. The owner of the jeep is an older gentleman, and he was very strict with the maintanence. It has never been off road or anything like that, just normal driving. These engines are very hard to find in running condition, especially quiet running condition. Most I have ever seen have some rod knock (cough-Blake-cough), but this one is quiet as can be.

Because it is a complete engine; carb to oil pan, and because of the exceptional shape, I am asking $300 for it.

It should be noted that this is the same engine that is used in the CJs, so if you are needing an engine for one of those, this is it!

Dang I wish I had the money to buy it from you then I could use it to build my stroker. But alas funds are short when opportunity is there.

The only thing you could use wouldve been the crank and rods, which you can get reman cheaper than what I was asking for this engine. A crank kit for a 258 (crank and bearings) is only like $220, and a good set of rods can be had for about $75.

By the way, the engine is sold now. Two gentlemen came and loaded it up on a trailer today, and I have $250 to put in my checking account on Monday.
