89 xj- cooling fan help

I was using my electric fan for extra cooling by unhooking the ground on the compressor and using defrost mode. But for some reason it just quite working. I plugged the compressor back in and it no longer engages the clutch now. I am thinking I blew a fuse or relay? I replaced all four relays on the pass inner fender and the two kinda near the airbox and near the washer tank on the drivers side. I cant seem to locate a fuse. The cooling fan still works with the temp switch in the rad, and if I unplug the sender wire and jump it. any suggestions? Thanks!!

run the wire from your compressor to the battery. if your clutch jumps, then it's still good. if it doesn't jump, then i'm sorry...but you'll need a new compressor.
