Type of engine and guages related?

Do all the 2.5s have the "idiot" guages? (The ones with a giant gas gauge and no tach.) Thus leaving the 4.0 with the nicer set? Or is it based on some other option?

I couldn't answer you if the factory had a full gauge cluster option, but I didn't have any problems swapping the full set into my '96 4 cyl. SE and having everything work after changing the temp. and oil pressure senders.

I have seen both on the 4.0, and I would assume the 2.5 would be the same way. I don't see why the gauge option and the engine option would be tied together.

BTW I enjoy being able to tell how much gas I have down to 1/20th of a tank
