I have an 88, 4.0 163,900 miles, and i was planning on changing the plugs, because it misfires a little, and they are 7 year old Motorcraft's....anyways, i was inspecting them, and i get to cyl #6, and the boot is frozen on the plug. It wont rotate, and i gave it a good tug, but i was afraid i would slip and pull the wire out of the boot. I have had these boots off within the last ~6 months, and i cant believe it is frozen on. I know this is a retarted question, but does anyone have an idea, besides cut it and get new wires??? TIA!

you could get new wires, then cut it...
or just keep wiggling and twisting. twisting works best...

if your plugs are 7 years old then its time for new wires anyways!

The wires are newer than 7 yrs old. Ill keep twisting and turning and see if it comes off.

buy some spark plug wire pliers with rubber jaws, used em on my old 4 cyl chevy, worked every time with no damage to the insulation or boot.
